Case-Shiller Home Prices Rise 1.5% MoM
The S&P Cotality Case-Shiller Home Price Index for June increased 30 basis points to +1.5% month-over-month. However, for the 13th consecutive month, home prices fell in real terms across the 20-city survey. Chicago led the gains with +6.9%, followed by New York City at +4.8%. Denver, Las Vegas and Seattle recorded declines of -1.2%, -1.9% and -2.0% respectively.

New Home Sales and Consumer Confidence Outlook
New Home Sales for July are expected to tick down to 615,000 seasonally adjusted units from the 628,000 reported a month ago, remaining well below the 12-month high of 757,000 seen in November last year. The Conference Board Consumer Confidence report for August is projected to fall from 90.8 to 90.2, a level still below the decade-long average of over 100.
